Everest Group CEO Peter Bendor-Samuel has been named by Ernst & Young LLP as one of the winners of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2007 awards in Southwest Area North (North Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma). Bendor-Samuel was one of 10 award winners selected by an independent panel of judges composed of area leaders from business, academic and civic organizations. He was named winner in the Technical Services category.
Bendor-Samuel founded Everest Group, a global sourcing consultancy firm, in 1991. The firm was pioneer of the sourcing/outsourcing consulting category. Since then, Everest Group has emerged as one of the world’s leading sourcing authorities and continues to grow, serving clients from offices in Dallas, New York, London, Toronto, Melbourne, Gurgaon, and other international cities. In 1997, Everest Group founded the Outsourcing Center (www.outsourcing-center.com), an online community specializing in thought leadership, best practices, and innovation in outsourcing. The Outsourcing Center publishes the Outsourcing Journal and has also recognized industry relationships for outstanding outsourcing best practices through its Outsourcing Excellence Awards program for the past 11 years. Everest Group further invested in thought leadership by establishing the Everest Research Institute in 2005, an independent research group that serves as a central source of independent and objective strategic intelligence, analysis, and actionable insight for leading corporations, service providers, and investors in the global outsourcing and offshoring marketplace.
“It is truly an honor to be recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner in the Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas region,” said Bendor-Samuel. “The award is symbolic of the results we’ve achieved on behalf of hundreds of clients we have served over the past 16 years who have realized the benefits sourcing and outsourcing. This recognition is also the result of our continued commitment to hire talented staff that provides smart thinking and great service to our clients and the business community.”
Southwest Area North award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 national program.
